Email address: trench_crew@yahoo.com The Trench Crew 2002 calendar! The Trench Crew FAQ! The Trench Crew rating system. What is the Trench Crew? Basically, the Trench Crew is TonV and Velcro (RossM). You can see us looking rather serious at the top of this page. Usually we will be wearing the orange #20 jerseys, customized with "Trench Crew" on the back. We have recently added our first honorary members. Wim for his great services as ticket manager to the Trench Crew. Then after the first game of 2001: DrAtomic for his travel reports and pictures, but mostly for ignoring our laziness and finally procuring us the www.trenchcrew.com domain! Okay thats 'who', but *what* is the Trench Crew? I was getting to that! Basically Ross and me were rather unhappy with the old Admiral Mania fanclub. We decided that one massive fanclub just doesn't really work for us. So we decided to set up our own little fanclub, modelled after the German fanclubs. The Fire, Galaxy and Thunder all have dozens of little fanclubs, usually with only a couple of members. Very loosely organized and basically just a couple of friends going to matches together. Being the lazy buggers we are, it took us an entire offseason to come up with a name. Then another season to get a website started. And the 2000 season and subsequent offseason to start off this new and improved site. I still don't really know what the Trench Crew is... Okay okay! So we are just two people with a few friends who are dedicated to the purpose of watching as many NFL-E games we can whilst wearing our Trench Crew jerseys. We are big fans of the big O-line boys in the trenches of American football (hence 'Trench' Crew) Basically, we just enjoy ourselves hugely and (usually) drink lots of beer. So you aren't particularly useful then? Hey, someone has to keep the brewers in business! But seriously, we try to be marginally of use as well. We (attempt to) keep this website up to date with game reports (so you can take advantage of Velcro's extensive football knowledge) and travel stories (so you can laugh at us making fools of ourselves). We also try to be a contact point for travelling fans of the other teams. Answering questions about Amsterdam and directing them to party places. This is good for us as well, since it means that we get recognized a lot at away matches by people who like to buy us beer. Get to the point. |
